Looking for a beautiful, sweet, shy, and gentle gal – here I am!
My name is Jasmine, they call me Jazzy. I am 2-4 yrs. old and was found abandoned with my siblings. Some nice person found us and let us sleep in a barn on hay until we were able to get into rescue. I must have come from a not so nice situation as I am shy and still learning that people are nice and won’t hit me when I come to them. I am a little scared of all the new things (especially ceiling fans) and noises of a busy house so I will need a family that is willing to gently introduce me to new places, noises, people and other dogs. I am going to doggy day care a couple times a week to learn social skills around other dogs and like hanging around with some of the friends I’ve made.
I was really shy when I first came into rescue but my foster family is showing me people really are awesome and I like to be in the same room as them. Once you get to know me you will find I love to cuddle and get attention. I am still learning how to walk on the leash and working on basic commands such as sit, stay, and lay down. I like to be outdoors when it’s nice out and so far surprisingly not noisy at all for being a beagle. I am still learning what toys are and how to play with them. I haven’t been around little kids in a house but have met them out and about and like to sniff them and will let them say hi to me and pet me.
I kennel well during the day and at night. Sometimes after I go outside in the mornings I get to sleep on the bed with my foster mom for an hour or so when she is not ready to get up. I am still working on being house trained, just haven’t figured out yet how to ask if I need to go out. But if you ask me I will follow you to the door if I need to go.
If you are looking for a shy laid back kinda gal – look no further!
Jazzy is 25lbs, current on vaccination’s, spayed, HW negative, and micro chipped.
