Do you know the top 5 characteristics of a black dog? No? They are sweet, caring, loving, faithful, and non-judgmental. Add that in with the characteristics of a Beagle, loving, intelligent, good natured, gentle, friendly, and you have me! My name is Gator and I’m a mix breed. My foster mom says she doesn’t really know all the things I’m mixed with, but I must be part Beagle because I have to Beagle howl down pat, although I don’t howl or bark very often. I’m the perfect size for a lap, averaging around 20 pounds and I love attention. I’m house trained and kennel trained and a quick learner with a few treats. I’ve learned how to sit in just a couple of days. I walk nicely on a leash and I’m good with other dogs, but I can get a little timid when meeting ones bigger than me so a slow introduction is best and I love cats. I love all kinds of people, kids included but I prefer older kids that know how to handle dogs. I’m about 3 years old, up to date on all my shots, neutered and heartworm negative. If I sound like the dog for you then I’m sure you’re the family for me.
P.S. I might have made up the top 5 characteristics of a black dogs, but since I’m black and they match my characteristics, I assumed them to be true!
