Beagle Rescue of the Heartland. We are an all volunteer
organization dedicated to rescuing and re-homing basset hounds and
beagles, along with basset and beagle mixes.

Get ready to splash the night away.
NHS and the City of Omaha Parks Department is partnering to offer you
and your best friend a pool party! The last night of the summer pool
season, Gallagher Pool in Benson (click here for directions) will be
open for human and canine swimming. Big dogs can swim in the main pool
while the zero depth area will allow big and little guys to "get their
paws wet" and see if swimming is for them. The City's Parks and Rec
Department will have lifeguards on hand and the whole thing should be
really "cool." We're working out the details but concessions, games,
costume contests and rescue groups are ideas we're kicking around to
make this a tail waggin' good time!
It's only five to take a dive ($5 per dog admission fee).
This type of event is hugely successful in many cities around the
country. Pet passionate people and their companion animals enjoy the
chance to go swimming and interact with others who love their pets too.
So save the date and get ready for a beach party!
