Hello world! My name is Woodrow, and I am ready to play! I’m a 13 week old Treeing Walker Coonhound and I know I’m adorable. At 8 weeks old, was an owner surrender all the way from North Carolina, but don’t remember it much, I have too much fun playing! I have long gangly legs that sometimes make me trip but are very good for pawing at toys and loping around. I’m going to be a big boy when I grow up– around 50-70 lbs.– and I can’t wait because then maybe I’ll get that bunny that lives next door. My foster mom says I’m a very good puppy (and then I get a treat!!). I sleep through the night and go potty immediately when I go outside. I still have accidents sometimes  but clearly know that the place to go is outside, so for the most part I am potty trained just waiting for my tiny bladder to catch up with the rest of me. I really like sleeping in my crate with my purple dinosaur; he came from NC with me and is my oldest pal.  I like to chew and need stimulation, but am learning that even though shoes look so so so so fun, they are not OK. I love to play with my foster brother and would do well in a home with another dog, as long as he or she has the energy for a puppy! I love walks (I don’t even pull!) and meeting new people and pups. The more interactions with different places, people, and things I can get at my age, the more social of a dog I’ll be.  I was previously fostered with cats and have only met human puppies a couple of times but I did really well with them.  My foster mom finds it very hard to get a good picture of me, because I never stop moving, which I am quite proud of. So probably best that you just come meet me in person 😊

Since I’m a puppy, please keep in mind:

— I need playtime! please consider your spare time to take me to the dog park, on walks, and to BBRH events before adopting.

— If I swerve a lot on walks, it might be because I have no callouses on my puppy feet. I am probably trying to get off the hot pavement onto the cool grass.

— my bladder is about this big.  Please take me outside often to avoid unwanted accidents!

— I already love you! please take me home and pet me!
