My name is Scout, short for my full name, which is Jean Louise Finch. My name fits me well, since I’m a lot like Scout in To Kill a Mockingbird – I’m curious and kind of a tomboy. My curiosity can get me in a little bit of trouble sometimes too, since I’m pretty new to this idea of living in a house with a family, but I really want please everyone and make them proud of me. I just want to know about everything and I want to know about it now! I’m smart, too. I’ve learned how to do so much since I started living in a house – I remember to go potty outside, I love the softness of my pillow in my crate, and I’ve learned how to wait for a lot of things. When I eat my breakfast or supper, my foster mom or dad feeds me a little bit at a time and I do lots of tricks for my food, like sit, lie down, stay, shake, or just wait and look at my foster mom while, she holds the food right under my nose. That’s pretty hard to do, you know! I learned how to ring a bell to let them know I want to go outside after being shown how to do it just one time! Then, I figured out on my own how to pull on the bell and let myself out the door without any help, which really impressed everyone!
My foster parents think I would love to live with people who want to teach me lots of things, since I’m so smart and they say that keeping my mind busy keeps me out of trouble, whatever that means. They also think I would be happier in a calmer household with older kids or only adults, since I get a little wound up when there are so many things to do and smell and experience! They say I’m healthy, strong and have the prettiest green eyes. I love to be close to them when I take a nap or at the end of the day. This living in a house thing is pretty much like heaven, and I appreciate it every day.
I am current on my vaccinations, HW negative, spayed, and micro chipped.
