Sadie is a female beagle. She is approximately 8 years old and weighs about 17 pounds.
Sadie was hit by a car in Feb. 2017. While she has recovered very well, she was left with some permanent changes. One of the vertebrae up high in her neck was broken and now her head always tilts slightly to the right. One of her eyes looks a little different than the other. Her walk looks a little different – but does not slow her down at all. She can’t go up steps or jump up (like on furniture), but she can go down stairs (we haven’t tried off furniture). Her foster home has a ramp to go outside and she uses it like a champ. But she doesn’t let any of it slow her down!
Sadie is a total sweetheart! She is living in foster care with 2 other dogs and a cats ranging in age from 5 months to 15 years — and she gets along very well with all of them. She is house and kennel trained – sometimes I have to put her in the kennel, but once she’s in, she likes to curl up and sleep. She’s working on walking nicely on a leash – which we’re not sure if her reluctance isn’t related to her neck injury.
Sadie loves to play with toys. She loves to toss them in the air and chase them around. She loves outside! She will run all over the yard and lie on the deck in the sun. She also loves to be petted and to sit on your lap if she gets a chance. She hasn’t met anyone she doesn’t love.
She is spayed, HW negative, current on vaccinations and micro chipped.
