Have you heard the nursery rhyme about the itsy bitsy spider? Well, that about sums up my life except I’m the itsy, bitsy Nova.  My life started out normal enough with me climbing the spout of life.  Then the rain came and washed me out.  I ended up in a shelter with heartworms.  The sun came out when BBRH rescued me!  I’m now in foster care, on treatment for those nasty heartworms but all caught up on my shots and I’ve been spayed!  So you ask what about the last part of the rhyme… I’m slowly climbing back up the spout of life.  This time, I plan to find my forever home and live happily ever after!  I’m a beagle mix, although I look just like a miniature beagle, who is approximately a year old and only around 13 pounds.  I love people, other dogs, and even cats!  Beware… if I want to play (with people, dogs, or cats) and they don’t want to play, I will bark to get attention!  I love to give kisses but sometimes I get carried away and will start to nibble.  I am kennel trained but still working on my potty training.  I’ve been doing pretty well as long as you don’t make me wait too long to go outside.  My foster family no longer kennels me since I don’t get into anything and I like to sleep on a pillow in between my foster mom and dad.  I like to tear squeakers out of toys and my foster mom thinks I could be a great agility dog with the right training.  I might be small but I’m quick as a wink!  I’m really good on a leash as I usually walk right next to you but don’t be fooled, if I see a rabbit or a squirrel, you better be holding on tight because I’ll bolt after them!  I do get a little nervous when walking on a busy street but I’m learning.  Speaking of nerves, you can tell when I’m nervous or cold because I’ll shake.  I like to make sure you know what I’m feeling since I can’t talk people talk!   So, you’ve read my tale, are you ready to help me climb the spout of life?
