Hi there! My name is Judd, and I’m about 8 years old. I’m a former breeder dog and I am slowly discovering the joys of being a pet. Because of my unique past, I can be nervous around new people, though I’m slowly warming up and gaining trust. More importantly, I’m small and cute and really just want to snuggle up on the couch. I LOVE pets from humans who I have grown comfortable with and will climb in your lap to get more when you stop. I love other mellow, low-key dogs as they help give me the confidence to come out of my shell though I do prefer to eat my food on my own. Now that I’ve become comfortable with my new foster family, I have discovered the most wonderful things, TOYS! I like to chew on them and cuddle them. I still have the occasional accident in the house especially when the humans are gone, but I’m happy hanging out in a kennel while you are gone. My foster family has a toddler, and while I’ve learned to trust him after 3 months and like it when he pets me, I would probably be happier in a home without small children, or where they just visit occasionally as boy can they make a lot of scary noises and move so darn fast.
My ideal home would be a quieter one where I can take some time building up my confidence, preferably one with either no kids or older kids. My new people should be willing to give me a few weeks to show them who I really am. I really would love a home with other dogs with whom I can snuggle and who can continue to show me the ropes of being a pet. I need a fenced yard as well as I’m still learning to walk well on a leash. The world is still rather scary so I tend to freeze up on a leash. But I love being outside and don’t dig and rarely bark. I know I may sound like a lot of work and it will take me some time to get comfortable but I promise once I do I will reward you with lots of love and snuggles and will be your little shadow for life. Can you continue to help me blossom?
Oh I’m told I should tell you that I’m fully vaccinated, micro chipped, heartworm negative and neutered (that was not fun!).
