Meet Hunter! He is a 3 year-old beagle/boxer (or possibly American Bulldog?) mix, weighing 37 pounds.
He has a long, lanky frame, like a boxer and will probably top out at 40 pounds. Found as a stray in rural Polk County, MO, he has an incredibly sweet personality, and is a people-pleaser. Hunter has very good indoor manners. He is fully housebroken and is crate trained, however, after initial crating in his foster home, he has been allowed the run of the house while his foster daddy is out at work and elsewhere, and has behaved very well. But, he will surf the counter for edibles, and having a locking-top trash can may be a good idea!
He always uses the doggie door to the backyard to potty and loves to take his toys to and from the yard. He also walks well on a leash, however this dog is some type of magician when it comes to slipping his collar. Even with the proper tension, it can slip off his head, so leashing with a halter is a must!
This boy can be a bit suspicious of strangers, but he warms up quickly. He is a snuggler and believes himself to be the perfect-sized lapdog. He is well-socialized with other dogs and even with cats, and he is good with kids.
